Tongue, meet cheek. It's not that the story of Back on Badstreet won't be true. The documentary from Fort Worth native Keith Alcorn (Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius) really will chronicle the story of the first theme song of professional wrestling. It's just that it won't take it too seriously.

The Dallas Morning News reports last week that Alcorn teamed up with Steve Barnes (animator on A Fair to Remember) to tell the story of Jimmy Papa, the man who wrote "Badstreet U.S.A." and a handful of other wrestling intros. Currently there's a lawsuit between Papa and Vince McMahon's World Wrestling Entertainment that Robert Wilonsky reports Papa is likely to win. Wilonsky reports, "WWE's even going to help promote the documentary, which will be available on DVD and video-on-demand by no later than November."

In the meantime, the above trailer for the documentary offers a delightful two-minute break from work.
