Jon Reep at Hyena's in Fort Worth North Carolina native Jon Reep has been on NBC's Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central's Premium Blend and the half-hour special Comedy Central Presents: Jon Reep. On stage, he cycles through a never-ending cast of characters and proves why he's a real redneck. Take his thoughts on tubing -- it's the best way to pee and drink in the same spot. And did you know you don't need skis to have fun on a river? You can pull anything that floats. An air mattress? Pull it! A garage door? Pull it! Reep will be here this Thursday through Saturday, and Thursday's show is 100 percent free. More money for SoCo, I guess.
Bobby Lee at the Addison Improv Asian parents have absolutely no filter, so it's no wonder Bobby Lee entered the world of stand up. Comedians are usually emotionally damaged. But unless you've got a story, Lee's not interested in the intricacies of your heritage. What's that? You're half German, a quarter Irish and a quarter Native American? Yah, you're white. Half Chinese and half Mexican? Just say Filipino! Lee and his not-at-all-racist self will be here this Friday through Sunday.
Ian Bagg at the Arlington Improv The only reason Australia isn't connected to any other land mass is because everyone there was so drunk, nobody noticed the damn country was floating away. At least, that's the scientific answer you'll get from Ian Bagg. He might be bitter, though. A 15-hour flight from LA to kangaroo land isn't easy for the 6-foot-4 stand up. Balls in your face is never fun. The Canadian-born comic has been on Conan three times already and kicked ass on HBO's Aspen Comedy Festival. He'll be here this Friday through Sunday.
The Odd Couple, Female Edition at Pocket Sandwich Theatre Move over Felix Unger and Oscar Madison. The new odd couple is neat freak Florence Unger (Staci Ingram) and the slovenly Olive Madison (Trista Wyly), two recent divorcees taking a stab at living with each other. As a couple of women from the opposite ends of the cleanliness spectrum, laughter-inducing situations abound. Neil Simon's hilarious contemporary comic classic plays this Friday through Sunday and continues through June.
The Hangover Part III The Wolfpack is back, and this time there's no wedding or bachelor party. But there is a kidnapping. After Alan's father dies, he's a little...off. The gang decides to get him some help, but on the way to the hospital, they're assaulted and Doug is kidnapped. Starring Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha and, of course, Zach Galifianakis, head out this Friday to see if the guys locate Mr. Chow for a Doug-saving surrender.
