Bad Juju & Other Tales of Madness and Mayhem - book trailer from Bad Juju and Other Tales on Vimeo.

I came across the above video this morning. I know well one of its makers (our pal Hal Samples), but not its neo-noir star: Jonathan Woods, a peddler of crime fiction loaded with "violence, sex, and gonzo plot twists." His latest is a 19-story collection, Bad Juju & Other Tales of Madness and Mayhem, due next month from New Pulp Press and set in an international hodgepodge of locales -- from Venice to Tokyo to Woods's hometown of right here. Have yet to receive or read, but the plotline provided for one story intrigues enough to merit a follow-up: "A jealous archaeologist uses a Mayan stone dildo to bludgeon to death the chairman of the Archaeology Department."
