Either way, we've got some guidance for you. We asked the TABC which bars in the Dallas area top their watch list. A bar can make the list if it shows multiple warning signs: the cops may get called there a lot, there may be a suspicious numbers of DUIs on their block, they get a lot of neighbor complaints--that kind of stuff. TABC superspokeswoman Carolyn Beck obliged us with the following roll of honor:
-
Hooters, 985 IH-35E South, Denton
Jonathan's, 108 W. Congress, Denton
Rockin' Rodeo, 1009 Ave. C, Denton
Rocky's Sports Bar, 2000 W. University, Denton
Duke's Original Road House, 4180 Belt Line Road, Addison
Sherlock's Baker Street Public House & Grill, 5100 Belt Line Road, Suite 776, Addison
We're not saying they're going to be at these establishments this weekend, or that these are the only places they could be. But if you're at a place on the TABC watch list, you might want to do some watching of your own. As in, watching your intake. --Rick Kennedy
