Treat the vegetarian (or simply the veggie lover) in your life to a five-course dinner at Cafe Modern. Sure, tickets are $110, but just think of how many times your beet-eating betrothed has subsisted off of pickles and white bread while you gorged on barbecue. Let's not even mention the Thanksgiving at your parents', where even the cornbread contained lard. Highlights from the menu include injera stuffed with spiced lentils, vegetable sosaties and a butternut bobotie. The dinner includes South African wine pairings.
