http://www.idlerichpub.com This Uptown mainstay is one of the city’s great equalizers. Drinkers from all backgrounds frequent the Idle Rich, where a Bud Light is just as respectable an order as a fine scotch from the pub’s extensive food and drink menu. The bar’s interior, deep warm wood from floor to ceiling, is clean and well-designed. Though the room is wide open, the different levels on the floor and partitions between booths give a feeling of privacy at every seat. Over the bar hang flatscreen televisions, on which soccer games and highlights take precedent. Read more about this Dallas bar or club >>
http://www.iguanasbarandgrill.com The Ridglea Theater is one of Fort Worth's best-known landmarks. And in the same shopping center, just a few doors down, sits Iguanas Bar & Grill. Thanks to multiple themes in the bar's two adjacent rooms, the bar attracts students from the nearby Texas Christian University, who show up in packs. Good thing, too; the place is huge. The long front room, which has tables and chairs for dining on pub grub, feels cavernous, thanks especially to several giant mirrors hanging behind the bar. And while the back room's dance club is slightly smaller, it doesn't seem to stop hundreds of coeds from cramming their way in. Read more about this Dallas bar or club >>
http://iicharlies.squarespace.com Named after the two guys who own the place, Two Charlies is a two-story bar and restaurant with a healthy mix of Bubbas and UNT drinkers, so it could hardly be more typically Denton. It hosts a Bloody Mary recipe contest every October and a salsa cook-off every Cinco de Mayo. Both floors are compact, but a covered patio downstairs and balcony upstairs provides a place to escape. The food is typical bar food, and the bartenders are typically friendly and crass. Look out for the drink specials. Read more about this Dallas bar or club >>

http://www.landmarktheatres.com Film buffs, hipsters and martini drinkers alike agree that Inwood Lounge, built into the front room of the Inwood Theater, is one of the coolest bars in Dallas, let alone the Park Cities, where the bar is located. Its dark interior, flanked on one side with a wall of glass bricks and neon lights, feels like a classy dive where patrons can settle in for long conversations and strong pours. Friendly bartenders play DJ with the bar's extensive vinyl collection, which ranges from punk to soul to psych and beyond. Read more about this Dallas bar or club >>
"I've been coming here for 20 years," says one regular sipping an afternoon cocktail while sitting at the end of the bar. But the bartender says there are people who have been frequenting the Inwood Tavern far longer. This Park Cities dive has been on the corner of Inwood and Lovers since 1964, and relies mostly on the loyalty of its regulars -- a mix of wealthy people from the surrounding Highland Park neighborhood and students from the nearby Southern Methodist University. True to its name, the bar feels a lot like a place you'd find in Boston rather than Dallas. The long, narrow room is lined with faded wood-paneled walls, and a well-worn piano sits in the back corner, just aching to be played. Read more about this Dallas bar or club >>
http://www.irishroverpub.com Just as the name implies, there"s plenty of corned beef, Scotch eggs and shepherd"s pie, as well as more American pub fare. Guinness and other brews, football (that"s soccer) on the TV, darts, billiards-it"s an entertainment center as well as a tavern. Read more about this Dallas bar or club >>
http://www.ironcactus.com Like many business that found success in Austin, this Austin standby now has branch in Dallas. Here, you'll find the same slick, modern trappings down to the neon glow and clean decorative lines. Iron Cactus offers gussied-up Tex-Mex (lobster tacos, anyone?), which can be paired with more than 75 tequilas. Perhaps you'd like tequila in your food? Then order the Yucatan fish tacos with tequila-marinated whitefish. Or just go for one of the margaritas on a rooftop patio. Read more about this Dallas bar or club >>
Since it's opening in winter 2012, It'll Do has become East Dallas' go-to dance club. It's large interior and spacious dance floor are big enough to hold a candle to even the best and largest Dallas night clubs, but without falling privy to any pretentiousness. Young adults, students and trendsetters of every variety gather to dance to the beat of underground DJs spinning everything from indie rock-infused tracks to old school hip-hop mash-ups. It'll Do is the type of club where you are free to dance how you feel--the type of dancing and singing that you do with your hairbrush microphone, in your rubber ducky robe after a shower. http://www.italianitaliancafe.com In Las Colinas between the famous canal and Lake Carolyn sits the neighborhood favorite restaurant/bar, Italian Café. They offer a wide selection of Italian comfort food-all the basic dishes and nothing fancy. But the food is delicious, whether you're ordering takeout or dining in. It's a great place to go to cure a hangover, and a great place to get one with it's fully stocked bar. And since most of the customers are residents of the nearby lofts and condos, it's easy to walk or ride your bike for a great Italian meal. Read more about this Dallas bar or club >>
