Ten Bells Tavern

Ten Bells Tavern

Ten Bells Tavern may be the perfect neighborhood pub. They pour solid pints of beer, serve great bar food and have an unassuming patio where you can drink to the setting sun.
It'll Do Club

It'll Do Club

Since it's opening in winter 2012, It'll Do has become East Dallas' go-to dance club. It's large interior and spacious dance floor are big enough to hold a candle to even the best and largest Dallas night clubs.
Lola's Saloon

Lola's Saloon

Since 2008, Lola's Saloon has been one of the top venues in North Texas, arguably the best in Fort Worth. Each week, local and national acts shuffle through the bar, which, perhaps thanks to the name, has a looser, more comfortable feel than others.

    University Pub

3019 S. University Drive Fort Worth, TX 76109-5608
    817-921-3332

Across the street from Texas Christian University, The Pub has catered almost exclusively to college students since 1981. It's a no-surprises kind of place: no special nights, events or bands. Where Irish joints sport the Celtic knot, this spot is all about school spirit. The walls are covered with university flags, and the beer is served in cups equally suited for a beer pong table. In back are a pool table and photo collages of partying students representing patrons dating to the '80s. But you have to be a solid regular to pass the cut and make it on the wall. • Uptown Bar & Grill

    Uptown Bar & Grill

2523 McKinney Ave. Dallas, TX 75201
    214-969-9433

http://www.uptownbarandgrill.com If there’s a dive in Uptown, Uptown Bar & Grill is it. For nearly two decades, the bar has offered cheap drink specials and good burgers to the Uptown set. Neon beer lights cast a campy red hue over the thick tiled floor, on the outskirts of which sit tables where patrons order drinks and pub grub while watching karaoke, one of the bar’s biggest draws. Another big draw in the warmer months is Uptown Bar & Grill’s expansive patio, which offers a good vantage point for watching people or games, the latter of which flicker on outdoor flat-screen televisions. Uptown Pub

3605 McKinney Ave. Dallas, TX 75204

http://www.uptownpubdallas.com Beat-up old tables, an inviting large patio and very cool shuttered booths make this shabby, homey little dive bar a cozy home away from home. Good beer selection, decent pub fare. Overall, not a bad place to bring a couple of friends for a laid back session of catch-up. Read more about this Dallas bar or club >>

  • Uropa

2600 Main St. Dallas, TX 75226
    214-655-2800

Three huge, separate dance halls for hip-hop, techno and smooth tunes make this Deep Ellum club as big as, well, Europe. Whatever dancing mood you're in, Uropa will sate it with space to spare. Read more about this Dallas bar or club >>

  • The Usual

    The Usual

1408 W. Magnolia Avenue Fort Worth, TX 76104

http://www.theusualbar.com Fort Worth's bike-friendly Fairmount Neighborhood on West Magnolia is one of the hipper places to hang out in Cowtown, thanks in part to The Usual, one of the few bars west of Dallas to offer a drink menu of classic and Prohibition-era cocktails. The bar's interior has a modern, minimalist design with raw wood walls and chairs, and a marbled, stained concrete floor. Unlike most of the surrounding Fort Worth bars, The Usual has a strict non-smoking policy, but the narrow patio in the back offers plenty of space for folks who need a smoke to accompany their drink, in addition to a place to lock up their bikes while enjoying an Old Fashioned or a Moscow Mule.
