Ten Bells Tavern

Ten Bells Tavern

Ten Bells Tavern may be the perfect neighborhood pub. They pour solid pints of beer, serve great bar food and have an unassuming patio where you can drink to the setting sun.
It'll Do Club

It'll Do Club

Since it's opening in winter 2012, It'll Do has become East Dallas' go-to dance club. It's large interior and spacious dance floor are big enough to hold a candle to even the best and largest Dallas night clubs.
Lola's Saloon

Lola's Saloon

Since 2008, Lola's Saloon has been one of the top venues in North Texas, arguably the best in Fort Worth. Each week, local and national acts shuffle through the bar, which, perhaps thanks to the name, has a looser, more comfortable feel than others.

  • Broncos Sports Bar

    Broncos Sports Bar

900 Airport Freeway Hurst, TX 76054
    817-498-0600

http://www.broncossportsbar.com Broncos Sports Bar and Grill in Hurst is certainly no one-trick pony. Though the words "sports bar" have made their way into Bronco's title, and the place is filled with bar games, billiards and arcade games, Broncos is known as a country music hub in the Mid-Cities. Opened in 1989 by former NFL players Ron Faurot and Billy Ray Smith, the bar's popularity and character have only grown with age. Its tall green walls and wooden beams and rafters are covered with vintage beer signs and posters, some of which have been there since they were new-just like many of the regulars who have bellied up to the bar for the last two decades. • Miguelito

    Miguelito's Mexican Restaurant

209 Bedford Euless Road Hurst, TX 76053
    817-268-0404

http://www.miguelitosrestaurant.com Miguelito's restaurant has made a home for itself in the quiet Mid Cities suburb of Hurst since it was opened in 1996 by Michael and Gabby Nevares. You might find its popularity surprising, given its out-of-the-way location. In fact, you might even think you've made a wrong turn until you see the bright red Miguelitos sign that lights the entire block. Even from the street, the fiesta atmosphere can be felt, and once inside, there is usually a Mexican beer or tequila drink in the hand of every bargoer -- even the ones salsa dancing on the narrow dance floor. The restaurant is still owned and operated by the Nevares family, and it's apparent that they've gone to great lengths to give Miguelitos its cabana-like atmosphere. • Papa G

    Papa G's

310 Grapevine Highway Hurst, TX 76054
    817-577-4006

http://www.papagsportsbar.com/Hurst/hurst.html The bar at 310 Grapevine Highway in Hurst has gone through several ownership changes. In fact, on our recent visit, there were two signs above the doorway-one with the bar's previous name, Baxter's, and one with its new name, Papa G's. The bar's interior is lined with wood, faded from years of smoke, and the floor is a classic black and white checkered tile. While there is no wide-ranging drink menu, cocktails are served quickly and with a heavy pouring hand. When your cup is full, you have several options. Head to the game room for billiards and darts, or grab a seat at a table in front of the stage, which features live bands and sports projected on the big screen. • Rob

    Rob's Billiards and Sports Bar

13930 Trinity Blvd. Euless, TX 76040
    817-355-1234

According to the bartender, the crowd at at Rob's Billiards and Sports Bar changes from night to night. "There's free pool for ladies on Tuesdays, and free pool for guys on Wednesdays," she says over Tuesday night's chatter. The popular Euless watering hole is generally packed every Tuesday -- not a free pool table in sight. The other half of the bar, however, remains empty, because it's used for Thursday's open mic night and Friday and Saturday's live music night, which also draw big crowds. • Toadies Bar & Grill

    Toadies Bar & Grill

1705 Airport Frwy Bedford, TX 76021-5731
    817-283-9090

http://www.toadiesbar.com Bedford's no-frills neighborhood bar Toadies isn't named after the famous Dallas rock band. Far more obvious than that, it's a frog-themed bar, complete with a giant frog on the huge sign that sits above the entrance, and frog statues sprinkled within the bar. Almost everyone sitting at the long wooden counter seems well-acquainted with each other, discussing the ins and outs of whichever local team is playing on the pull-down screen behind the bar. The drink selection seems pared down to just the basics, but what Toadies lacks in drink variety, it makes up for in friendly service. Read more about this Dallas bar or club >>

  • Town & Country Cigars

    Town & Country Cigars

    1301 W. Glade Road Euless, TX 76039
    817-358-8862

http://www.tccigarseuless.com There aren't many cigar places in Dallas where you can buy a drink and a smoke and enjoy them both indoors. But if you're looking for a good scotch to go with your stogie, Town & Country Cigars in Euless is the nearest place. The big front room has plush leather sofas and a big glass coffee table covered with newspapers, ashtrays and cigar magazines. The adjacent walk-in humidor is massive, offering thousands of cigars, and the bar in the back has cocktail tables from which patrons watch sports on a massive TV. The bar, while not as well stocked as the humidor, has plenty of options, whether you're looking for whiskey or a local craft beer. There are several Rahr choices on tap.
