    All Good Cafe

2934 Main St. Dallas, TX 75226
    214-742-5362

http://www.allgoodcafe.com This is a little bit of Austin in Dallas. Rock posters, some of them autographed, share space with a gaggle of origami fauna left hanging from a 2009 wedding reception. On Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, popular and little-known musical acts jam out on the stage, packing the joint, and don't worry about paying cover at the door; you can make a "donation" to the band when they pass the kitty at intermission. Come early for brunch on Sunday. The line for a table at brunch moves slowly, especially if those already seated have ordered the hot-selling hot cakes. Whatever you order, though, odds are the ingredients have been sourced locally. More >>

http://www.ascensioncoffee.com We work hard to be good at what we do. We are focused on incredible, high-quality, farmer-focused coffee from all over the world. We are fanatics. We spend much of our time sourcing the world’s best coffee, roasting it to perfection – enhancing their own characteristics and nuances – and brewing them with love for you, our customer. We are obsessed. We love talking to you about the flavor notes, about the brewing methods, and about the farms we support, but will happily serve you a cup of our finest and leave you to experience it without any pressure, without any pretense. You lead, we will follow. Our journey here is one of love for the bean & love for the people who care for them. We love wine, too, after all, one cannot live on coffee alone. We choose our wines from boutique wineries as well as the long-acclaimed vineyards around the globe so you can enjoy every glass we serve. We are Ascension. We hope we become your obsession. More >>

http://www.starbucks.com Since its founding by a trio of aspiring coffee roasters in Seattle in 1971, Starbucks has grown to become the largest coffeehouse in the world, with upwards of 20,000 locations in Dallas / Fort Worth and around the world. Named for the chief mate on the whaling ship from Moby Dick, the company didn't begin chasing the Great White Whale of world java domination until the 1990s, by which time it was opening a new store every day. A turbulent economy has since forced it to retrench, but the chain remains a powerhouse both commercially and politically, thanks to its op-ed-penning chairman, Howard Schultz. A purveyor of whole foods, Starbucks typically farms out its secret recipes to a single, Starbucks-owned bakery in each city, and now sells a good deal of its coffee beans at grocery stores.
