Families can enjoy documentaries, features, shorts, animation and experimental films by African American independent filmmakers as well as African filmmakers from Africa, Canada, Great Britain, and Caribbean filmmakers from Martinique, Haiti, Jamaica, Cuba, Columbia and Brazil.By featuring films from the African Diaspora, Black Cinematheque Dallas encourages discovery and discussion thus conveying to our audiences the shared kinship, rituals, history, traditions and diversity of Africans throughout the world.
