  • Back Porch Grill and Tavern

    Back Porch Grill and Tavern

    210 N. Main St. Grapevine, TX 76051
    817-251-8434

http://www.backporchtavern.com Back Porch Grill & Tavern claims to be "Grapevine's own slice of Nashville with a splash of Texas flavor." That much seems true the second you walk in the doors and hear the unmistakable twang of Nashville country tunes blaring from the laptop of a DJ dressed in full cowboy garb. But the rest of the bar, with its wood-paneled walls and prairie d├ęcor, is very much a caricature of an old Texas saloon. So too is the menu, which is loaded with strong drinks, comfort food dinners and lunch options. More >>

  • Glass Cactus

    Glass Cactus

1501 Gaylord Trail Grapevine, TX 76051
    817-778-2800

http://www.glasscactusnightclub.com The massive complex in the middle of rural Grapevine known as the Gaylord Texan is home to one of the largest hotels in the DFW area. It's a great one-stop shop for weekend getaways including shopping, spa treatments, food and entertainment -- at the center of which is the Glass Cactus. The Western-style venue on the Gaylord Texan campus hosts some of the area's hottest cover bands and the occasional touring act. But it's more than just a concert venue. The large dance floor invites you to cut loose, and with the help of the impressive beer and cocktail menu, event the most reluctant dancer will find their rhythm. More >>

  • Kirby

    Kirby's Prime Steakhouse

    3305 E. Highway 114 Grapevine, TX 76092
    817-410-2221

http://www.kirbyssteakhouse.com Says one long-time regular sitting at the bar of Kirby's: "This place has the best food in Southlake. We've been coming here for years." Turns out, the bar is full of people who have been frequenting the popular steakhouse since it opened in 1999. There's nothing fancy about the design of the place. The granite bar top juts out from the dark wood-paneled wall that displays bottles of expensive spirits. What keeps people coming back, say these regulars, aside from the menu full of prime cuts of beef, are the bartenders, who are experts in mixing drinks and even better at memorizing the names and stories of the folks who find themselves at the Kirby's bar. Tap-In Grill

    120 S. Main St. Grapevine, TX 76051
    817-329-3117

http://www.thetapin.com Despite its suburban location, downtown Grapevine is bustling with late-night activity almost every night of the week. Evidence of this can be found at Main Street's Tap-in Grill & Pub -- a smoky joint, big on stiff drinks, pub grub and live music. It's not a huge place, and its rich, dark-wood interior contributes to its cozy feel. On a recent weeknight visit, one of the servers sat in the corner of the bar playing old covers on his acoustic guitar. It was enough to keep the 30 or so bargoers entertained while they downed their drinks and ordered from a late-night menu. In between songs, he asked if anyone needed anything, but all he got in return was a handful of song requests. More >>
