October 19, 2016
7:00pm – interview
7:45pm – Movie (WAYNE’S WORLD)
Remember the days of a full-service, local, independent guitar shop? Jason Underwood and Blake Milton certainly do, and wanted to bring that style shop back to Richardson, Texas. Archie's Guitars is that full-service, local, independent guitar shop in your backyard in Richardson. Archie's offers lessons for all levels and styles. They offer the latest in their hand-picked guitar, bass, amp, and accessory lines. Jason and Blake are also proud to have John Dear, a seasoned certified tech, on site full-time. Archie's Guitars was put in motion the day the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema took up residence in Richardson Heights.
Blake Milton is a lifelong career musician who has been involved in every facet of the music industry. He is a multi-instrumentalist whose musical experience includes being a touring performer, educator, product endorsee, record producer, engineer, studio owner, club owner, author, publisher, music software creator, film composer, online entrepreneur and music retail. Archie's Guitars is the perfect vehicle to utilize Blake's wide ranging experience.
Jason Underwood, also a lifelong Richardson resident, brings the vision and spirit of Archie's Guitars back to the neighborhood where he once took lessons himself; all this after a career in both the corporate and entrepreneurial world. Jason's musical passion and desire to provide a neighborhood full-service guitar shop for the community he and his family reside in, stand at the heart of Archie's Guitars. And the name? This community building space is named after the family's late beloved dog Archie.
