Building Peace: A Public Talk
Sunday October 30 | 10 – 11.30am
It is a remarkable quality of the mind that we first create objects in our imagination and then bring them into our everyday reality – such as our new Kadampa Buddhist Temple! This beautiful building will soon be open for all to enjoy as a place of peace in Downtown Dallas. Everyone is welcome to this public talk to learn how improving our qualities of compassion and wisdom can create peace within our minds, and create peace in our troubled world.
Gen-la Kelsang Jampa is an international teacher of Kadampa Buddhism. He is the Deputy Spiritual Director of the NKT-IKBU and Resident Teacher of KMC Texas.
Gen-la is well-loved for his clear and inspiring teachings, and his ability to touch people’s hearts through his sincerity and loving-kindness.
Registration: $15 Pre-Registered. $20 at the Door
Location: 1875 Laws Street (next to the Dallas World Aquarium in the Dallas West End Historic District.)
The temple is a 5 minute walk from the DART West End Transportation Center.
In addition to metered street parking (approx. $1/hr) many parking lots are adjacent to the temple and within a 1-2 block walk for approximately $5-7.
