Some of America’s nearest and dearest things are solo: Han, Hope, those red cups. While Harrison Ford won’t likely be in the Big D anytime soon, the 2016 Dallas Solo Fest brings eight strong solo performers to the Margo Jones Theatre at the Magnolia Lounge (1121 First Ave.) starting June 2 through June 12. There will be a wide variety of stories, with subjects ranging from Indiana Jones to beer to Gone With the Wind. Thursday performances are Super Mortal by Erin Singleton at 7:30 p.m.; Bad Dates, or What Killed that Monkey in Indiana Jones Only Makes Me Stronger by Eileen Tull at 9 p.m.; and Scarlett O’Hara and the War on Tara by Brigham Mosley at 10:30 p.m. Tickets to individual shows are $12 and festival passes are $60.
