There are so many things to do for Halloween that it can be very hard to pick just one of them, even though most or all of them involve drinking. You can put on a costume and go to a fancy ball or go to one of those burlesque shows and watch people take off their costumes for your amusement. You can go to a Halloween-themed concert or a twisted sideshow where people perform insane acts that involve violating basic rules of personal safety. You can get a tattoo. If you’re having trouble narrowing down your entertainment options to just one activity and you haven’t been able to perfect your transubstantiation machine, the Dragons Ball Society’s Wunderland Costume Ball may be the best solution. The evening that bills itself as the “Ultimate Halloween costume ball” will feature live music from Marquis of Vaudeville and DJ DopeKiti, body artists who’ve starred on Syfy’s Skin Wars, live circus and burlesque dancers and a chance to show off your costume making skills in their $1,000 cash contest. It all goes down at 9 p.m. (doors open at 8 p.m.) on Saturday, Oct. 22, at The Bomb Factory, 2713 Canton St. in Deep Ellum. Tickets ($28 for general admission; VIP passes also available) can be purchased online at thebombfactory.com. The event is for people aged 21 and older.
