The creation of Leonard Bernstein’s famous work based on Psalm texts resulted from a commission by the Southern Cathedrals Festivals at Chichester Cathedral. Dvo?ák’s “New World Symphony,” as it is often called, is one of the most popular symphonies performed today. It is based on Dvo?ák’s interest in Native American music. The concert will take place at 8 pm on Saturday, November 19th at The Eisemann Center in Richardson, Texas.
