Take those protein pills and strap your helmet on for an art odyssey that takes a look at out-of-this world pieces at the Dallas Museum of Art, 1717 N. Harwood St. From 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13, the DMA’s new Off The Wall: Space Oddity program gets thematic, exploring the collection in search of pieces that evoke planets, astrology and the oth-erworldly superstar that was David Bowie. Start with a gallery tour guided by zodiac signs, or hang in the atrium for a Bowie-centric set from DJ Yeahdef. Explore art in hyperdrive, with a speed-of-light adventure that highlights 10 works of art in 30 minutes, and then take one small step toward the bar for cocktails, including the Buzzed Aldrin and the Ground Control to Major Tom Collins. Tickets to the program are $10 or free for DMA members. See dma.org/programs/off-the-wall for more.
