Parent and Child Photo Scavenger Hunt

Parent and Child Photo Scavenger Hunt

Jill Blanchar/Dallas Center for Photography

Our smartphone photo scavenger hunt is the perfect way to end the summer! In this half-day class, we'll meet early at Dallas Heritage Village where you'll learn how to make the most of your smartphone camera and editing app. Then you’ll team up with your kiddo to complete a range of photo assignments around this unique park. Your photo scavenger list will inspire your family to think creatively and challenge each other to take the best pictures you can whether the subjects are people, places, close-ups, landscapes or just fun pictures of interesting things. After an hour of shooting, we’ll head back to DCP for a supportive and encouraging image review. The instructor will choose one image from each team and you will leave with a frame-ready print so that everyone has a physical memory from the day. The child age range for this workshop is roughly 6-12 years old. If you have a 5 year old that’s already snap happy, that’s fine with us. And if your teenager still wants to spend time with you, that’s even better! This class is also perfect for teaming up a kid with their grandparents or cool older siblings.
