Author, educator and mentor Mary Virginia Swanson is a leading voice in the photo industry today. She’s known for her compelling lectures, instructional workshops and insightful texts as well as her gift for motivating and inspiring photographers through group and private portfolio reviews.
On the morning of Saturday, November 12, 2016, Ms. Swanson will offer several professional one-on-one portfolio reviews for photographers who are seriously invested in a project (time slots listed below). Each artist will have 20 minutes of private review time to present a digital or print portfolio. Please note that these sessions are not intended to be casual critiques of technique and composition. Ms. Swanson would best serve photographers who are focused on a project and seeking to establish professional relationships and targeted marketing efforts in order to place their personal work in the fine art arena for exhibition and publication.
Each 20 minute session is $95 and will take place at the Dallas Center for Photography. You must register in advance, as these sessions are limited. There are only 8 slots available, and we expect them to fill up very quickly. However, we will retain a wait list in the case of cancellation. The time slots listed below will be scheduled on a first registered, first choice basis:
9:00, 9:20, 9:40
10:10, 10:30, 10:50
All participants must submit a link to their personal website/portfolio at the time of registration. Please provide a name for the project you wish to have reviewed. Your registration is not complete until your portfolio has been reviewed.
Ms. Swanson will also be giving a public lecture entitled To Be Published, or Self Publish? at the AT&T Performing Arts Center on Friday, November 11 at 7pm. Find more information and purchase tickets on the DCP website.
