Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 15, 2016 when Sponsor Adoptions, Inc. will host its 5th annual Howl-O-Ween Spooktacular fundraising event. The family friendly event runs from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM at River Legacy Park’s Elm Grove Picnic Pavilion. Arlington Animal Services will co-host the festivities for the second year in a row. This year’s fundraiser is sponsored by Toothacres Pet Care Center, Wingstop (Watauga, Austin and Wichita Falls locations) and Barking Mad Doggy Daycare & Boarding, LLC. Featured activities include a costumed pet parade, vendors, games, food trucks, a silent auction and raffle, face painting, pumpkin patch portraits and bounce houses. Leashed and vaccinated pets are welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult. In keeping with the Sponsor Adoptions, Inc.’s mission to help shelter pets, their friends with the Arlington Animal Services mobile adoption team will offer on-site pet adoptions. Joining the event will be Operation Kindness, supporting the fundraising efforts and Spay Neuter Network, offering affordable pet vaccinations from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Sponsor Adoptions, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization run by volunteers, dedicated to reducing euthanasia in local animal shelters through education, marketing and financial support. Through the support of community donations, Sponsor Adoptions, Inc. also strives to keep families together by providing financial assistance to pet owners struggling with medical costs and by offering other options besides surrendering their pets to shelters.
