There is a slight chill in the air, the leaves are beginning to fall, and school is in full swing. Yet nothing says fall to the families of East Dallas like the eagerly anticipated annual Stonewall Jackson Carnival. Come and be a part of this magical autumn tradition, on Saturday, October 22nd, 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Stonewall Jackson Elementary School, 5828 E Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, TX 75206. It seems almost too good to be true but now is your chance: play hard and have a blast while simultaneously benefiting a most deserving cause, our elementary school, Stonewall Jackson. The Fall Carnival is one of the PTA’s most important fundraising events of the year, with the proceeds going towards technology upgrades, additional classroom supplies, improvements to school facilities, and much more. There will be many game booths, a DJ playing rockin’ tunes, fun rides and lots of delicious food. Try your luck at the Wheel of Wonder or break an arm at the ER station. Perhaps you would like to experiment with a new look courtesy of our talented face painters, or try a new hair color (Pink perhaps? Blue, maybe?) at the hair coloring station. If you’re the pragmatic type you may wish to set up your family with some scrumptious desserts by strutting through the killer Cake Walk. Talk about fun for the whole family! This event is open to all and the public is welcome and encouraged to attend. Admission is Free! Wristbands for unlimited games and rides will be available for purchase for $25.00. All proceeds will benefit Stonewall Jackson Elementary. For more information visit: www.stonewalljacksonpta.org.
