Central Market is where all the well-heeled Southlakers come to stock their refrigerators and pantries with organic produce, imported olives, fancy cupcakes and aged balsamic vinegar. An amazingly wide array of produce offers no less than eight different varieties of apples and every exotic fruit imaginable, plus precut vegetables ready to be stir-fried or sauteed. The meat and seafood department has everything you need for your next fancy dinner party, from fresh mussels to whole prime filets of beef. A huge wine department will delight the oenophile, while teetotalers will find solace in the wall of loose teas. For the non-cooking set, a massive prepared-foods case holds plenty of take-home options, and there’s even a cafe for a quick on-site lunch or dinner.
