Everest Restaurant

Catherine Downes
If you’re looking for an inexpensive meal that feels like an event, Everest Restaurant may be just what you seek. The kitchen focuses on Nepali cooking, but branches out into Indian and Chinese fare as well. A visit isn’t complete without an order of the goat momo, savory dumplings that burst with flavor, and which are best ordered fried. Fans of goats will rejoice because there are countless ways to enjoy the gamey animal here. The best thing may be the prices, which hardly ever cross the $10 mark and usually hover considerably lower. Know the restaurant is BYOB, but don’t sweat it too much. There’s a corner store on the same block, and it has plenty of cold beer at the ready.
