This intimate eatery has been open for more than 35 years. Chef/owner Brian C. Luscher and his general manager wife, Courtney, offer up a Francophile-pleasing menu with a twangy twist, e.g. their celebrated burger. Dinner options include the braised lamb "tartines," hushpuppies of roasted corn, jalapeños and crab as well as the bistro-standard steak frites. The Grape is also a favorite Sunday brunch spot for East Dallas residents. Up for grabs then are the famous cheeseburger, fried chicken biscuit and oxtail and banana peppers. It'd be tragic if the wine list weren't mentioned, which has wines from Chile to Italy and all points between. By the glass can be cheap ($8) or you can pony up and order a bottle.
