Hovering around Dallas since 1948 in various incarnations and locations, Arthur's has achieved the status of dining legend, having survived everything from a devastating fire to asbestos abatement. Packed with prime steaks, the menu is speckled with things like fresh fish, salmon carpaccio and foie gras, all served in a dark clubby atmosphere with a huge fish tank separating the bar from the dining room. Bar revelers are advised to wear life vests.
