This newest sibling to the Blue Mesas in Addison, Dallas and Fort Worth is a departure, at least in the look. While the others embrace a decidedly Southwestern aura, this new version is more modern and edgy, from the 45-foot tower out front to the grove of varnished trees in front of the kitchen. The food is mostly the same though: bold but not searing, interesting but not jarring, well-prepared but not expensive. And Blue Mesa still pumps out lots of those blue margaritas, just in case the jalapeño relish starts to blister the tongue.
