I love the admosphere and food at this new restaurant. Must visit if you are in the addison area.

I can't believe this new restaurant hasn't been discovered by the masses yet! I guess they just opened quitely about a month ago. The food blows any other so called Asian Fusion restaurnat away. Once the word gets out you won't be able to get a table. Try out the patio with this massive sleepy hollow kind of mural on the wall with the word "firefly" woven into it. The service is fine dining without all the stuffiness. Go check this place out!!

This is the greatest restaurant I have ever experienced. The food is out of this world, I am working on trying every item on the menu, and so far, everything is awesome. Not only is this a great place for dining, the staff is like no other establishment. They treat you like family, even though it's an upscale restaurant you feel part of the family. The owners are so friendly and want you to feel the atmosphere of friendly people. As far as the food goes, it's AWESOME! Go and try Firefly! You will love it too!!!! Sherry

This is the place I want to go insdtead of going home. Owners are very friendly and I know them all. The Happy Hour and daily specials are great, you will find something to your liking each day. On Mondays they have half price wine bottles, which means you can try the most expensive wines for half the price! They have appetizers specials each day too. Come and experience the exceptional dining experience at Firefly!

Agree with other comments. This is the best kept secret. I've eaten at this place 6 times already and everytime I find a new favorite dish. The yellow curry sauce is unreal. They need to serve it with bread for dipping! They jsut added a ton of items on the lunch menu for $7.95 ~ great value

I live down the block from Firefly. My neighbors and I have made numerous visits since Firefly first opened--each time we are greeted by name by the owner Kat and her friendly bartender Theresa. The food is more than your typical Vietnamese cuisine, it is also a mix of Thai, Chinese, and whatever Kat and her chef/sister dream up. The sauces are particularly unique and wonderful. If you order one of the appetizer plates you will fall in love with the variety of dipping sauces provided for the spring rolls, pot stickers, and satays. We ordered a scallop dish on our last visit that was served with an incredible coconut/curry sauce. We live in Addison, we are somewhat jaded by so many good places to eat--Firefly stands out from all the rest.

We used to love this restaurant, which was why we kept returning, until the owner and manager showed the utmost sign of disrespect towards her customers. The restaurant posted a coupon online, which we presented at the end of dinner. The coupon was declined because our party had more than six people. We thought as a new restaurant and as a measure of good customer service, they should have honored this promotion because nowhere on the coupon did they indicate we could not use it for parties of more than six. We went ahead and paid for our meals and gave our coupons to nearby tables because we didn't want them to go to waste. While filling out the customer satisfaction survey they handed out, the owner came by and snatched it from us rudely telling us that we didn't need to fill out the survey because we weren't welcomed anymore. Apparently she was upset that we gave the coupons to other customers and ungrateful for the happy hour prices she gave us (DURING happy hour, by the way). If she didn't want them used then don't post them all over the internet. And regardless of how upset she was, there was no reason to be so unprofessional and crude towards customers.

Bottom line:

Good food, good waiters, unprofessional management that needs a lesson in good customer service from her staff.

Usually I'm not a fan of Asian Fusion foods, but i think this one may be the exception to the rule. I've been here 2 times and at every visit I have had wonderful service. The food is excellent quality and pretty decently sized portions. The last time I came I brought about 10 other people along with me for their power lunch special. They handle size of the party superbly due to the fact the restaurant was packed with customers during their busy lunch hours and once again provided great service. All the choices on the menu have turned out great so far.

Last night, my date and I wanted to try out a new restaurant in town and it was wonderful. They have so many choices and can turn most dishes veggie friendly. The decor was modern but a touch of the old world. The servers and managers are very nice and cool. The dishes and platters are beautifully presented. Oh my, the Shaken beef and Tamarine Prawns, delicious. I also recommend sake tiramisu for dessert. Firefly is one of my favorite restaurants! Definitely the best Vietnamese-fusion place around!

My husband and I went there a few weeks ago based upon the rave reviews we found here. BUT....the spring rolls tasted fishy....chicken is not supposed to taste fishy. The scallops were rubbery. And halfway through my meal I found a big long black hair in my entree. Instead of comping my dinner, they comped 2 glasses of wine. And, of course, couldn't bear to finish my meal. I will not be going back because the food was mediocre at best.

This restaurant is great for big groups, small groups, dates, family, anything! The food is also healthy and light but very satisfying. I love the shaking beef and crab puffs! The decor and atmosphere is great whether you're sitting inside or outside. They have a great patio and lounge. The servers is also very helpful and they really know the menu including a great wine and sake list.

BEWARE - ENTERTAINMENT GUIDE RIPOFF
My wife and I visited Firefly last night because we had a buy one-get one free coupon from the 2009 Entertainment Guide. We love the guide because it gives us the incentive to try new places we might otherwise not think of. We we got our check, the waitress told us "Oh, we don't accept that"... I told her that there was a full page spread with their restaurant in the Entertainment Guide, but she seemed to think that it wasn't their problem. I told her that they should at least put a sign on the door saying they don't honor it, but again, she seemed to think that it wasn't their problem. So bottom line is that our dinner cost $18 more than it should have.
Even at half price, this place wouldn't have been worth it. The salmon salad was almost too spicy for my wife to eat and my "Carmalized Prawns" was covered in jalapeno peppers. Just because you use non-native spices to mask the real flavor of your food doesn't mean that you have a "fusion" restaurant. Stay away from this place. Atmosphere isn't worth the cost or the hassle. You can find much better Thai and fusion food elsewhere.
