Basic, classic breakfast dishes aren’t difficult to come by at the relocated Greenville Avenue landmark. In business for more than 33 years, John’s knows how to break an egg or two. Plus, syrup isn’t even required for pancakes or the powdered-sugary, cinnamon-y French toast—yeah, they’re that good. John’s also handles the lunch crowd with standard sandwiches such as BLT, grilled cheese and roast beef, plate lunch dailies and a few Greek noshes that nod to owner John Spyropolous’ heritage. John’s is a no-frills joint, but when you’re starving, there’s nothing wrong with a super-short wait and a simple presentation.
