We donât mean to play favorites, but this is probably the best place in the D-FW extended family to see a big-name touring act. Everything is top-freaking-notch; parking is a snap, the seats are perfectly positioned and comfortable as a recliner, and the staff is nicer than most grandparents. The concessions are reasonable, too. And, oh yeah, the lineup of bands is good and only getting better. More, please.
Luis Miguel's concert at the Nokia Stage on October 16, 2008 was very disappointing. This concert was my fifth time to see Luismi perform. I was very disappointed because for the ticket price I paid and the length of time he performed I felt very ripped off. He came out about an hour late (as always) but barely performed for an hour! Also, the entire night he was making signs at the sound engineer and his band. He is a vetern performer and surely can afford the best band performers so he shouldn't be having problems during his entire performance. And where was the Mariachi? I can go on and on with the disappointments but with all that said, I will NEVER pay a dime to see Luismi perform again. I prefer to pay top dollar for an artist that gives a performance worthy of the ticket price.

Overall:
The Killers were awesome. Too bad the union video guy was more interested in getting teenaged girls on camera than the members of the band. We had seats in the back and it would have been nice to have a close up or two of the band instead of the 4 girls he found cute. I wasn't impressed with the hour long traffic jam when I arrived either. But the band Rocked!!!!!

We were so excited to have tickets to see Cedric the Entertainer on Saturday, March 14th. First of all the show was scheduled to start at 8pm but didn't start until 8:35pm (CE on CP Time?). Then it was an unknown opening act comedian who kinda vulgar (but very funny at times - actually funnier than Cedric throughout his routine). Wish I knew his name but he didn't get much recognition. Back to the headliner - Mr. Cedric The Entertainer - it was canned, canned, canned. You could tell it was a lot of repetitive material delivered in a very repetitive style. the show ended with a BIG FLOP of a joke about techno music affect on black men. Even he said (when the audience didn't respond as he expected to HIS BIG FINISH) - Well that was my last joke and just stood there until his opening act walked back on stage and begged for an applause from the audience. I'm glad we didn't pay more than $35. I would have been royally upset if we had popped for the $85 tickets. Cedric needs to upgrade his routine. He's never going to be a Chris Rock or Steve Harvey for that matter. Both there shows keep you with side splitting laughter throughout the performance. Get it together Ceddie!
