Parigi translates to Paris in Italian, reflecting this bistro's kitchen as a nexus of Italian, French and American culinary traditions. Chefs and business partners Chad Houser and Janice Provost consider Parigi a neighborhood place and thus support community ventures such as Friends of the Farmers Market. Whatever their philanthropic involvement, their food shows a dedication to seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. The restaurants signature dishes include an acorn squash stuffed with quinoa, peas, carrots, spinach and asiago and pappardelle with a medley of shellfish (lobster, shrimp, crab) and Sottocenere cheese. There is also the steaming risotto plate described as "chef's daily inspiration," made all the more comforting in the warm dining room this side of fancy. It must have something to do with the wall-mounted artwork and whimsy present in the menu.
