Shortly after you take your seat at Rosemont, you're presented with a small white porcelain bowl filled with tiny black currants, freshly roasted granola and Cheerios in an upscale take on the snack mix many of us munched out of plastic sandwich bags with our hands. The youthful, almost soothing bowl is a far cry from the sophisticated experience the menu offers. Small, stylish portions of high-quality ingredients on comely plates point to a refined and serious restaurant, even if it doesn't offer dinner service. There are powdered mini-doughnuts and the java is black, rich and aromatic. Omelets, chalupas and oatmeal round out the breakfast menu while upscale sandwiches and salads take the spotlight for lunch. Execution and service can be spotty at times, but the dining room and menu are so charming you'll be drawn to return.
