The Porch

2912 N. Henderson Ave.
Dallas, TX 75206
214-828-2916
Website
Billed as an urbane tavern with a relaxed ethos, The Porch is instead a sleek, polished brasserie with tongue-in-cheek menu entrants. The peel ’n’ eat shrimp are obese. The chicken Cobb is loaded with so much of every Cobb element you get lost in the bulk. But the capstone is the Stodg burger, named after Dallas super-lawyer Steve Stodghill. It’s packed with tomato, onion, melted cheddar and a fried egg. Did we mention the bun is smeared with foie butter? This is not your father’s heart attack.
