For my money, Passion Pit's "Sleepyhead" (see above video) is the leading candidate for electro dance track of the young year (apologies to Empire of the Sun's "Walking on a Dream")--to say nothing of the fact that the band, which stops through town for a gig at the Granada Theater on Tuesday, June 2, killed when I caught its set at SXSW.

And now comes this: Disqo Disco and Sydney Confirm's Sean Humphrey (aka redsean) passed along a link to his remix of the track the other day, somehow managing to even further blip and bleep up the blip- and bleep-laden track. Earlier today, Humphrey gave us the green light on passing his remix on to DC9 readers. Check it after the jump.

(Dance away. No one's watching.)

It's not the local-on-local remix we raved about a few weeks back, but we've been fans of Syndey Confirm for some time here on DC9 so, y'know, we dig. Plus, like I said, the original kills. But this one puts a nice spin on it, too. Which gives me yet another excuse to play Passion Pit loud enough to the point where the newsroom gets annoyed.

Party on, Wayne.

Catch Humphrey's Disqo Disco DJ set every Tuesday night at the Fallout Lounge.
