Fall Indie Fest Announces Three-Day Bill That Includes Reverend Horton Heat, Sarah Jaffe, Telegraph Canyon, Others

OK, now this is getting ridiculous. Seriously: We like the suburbs just fine (The Suburbs, too, actually), but, c'mon, we're past that part of our lives, and we really don't want to be dragged back out there every weekend. Doesn't seem like we're being given much choice in the matter,...

OK, now this is getting ridiculous. Seriously: We like the suburbs just fine (The Suburbs, too, actually), but, c'mon, we're past that part of our lives, and we really don't want to be dragged back out there every weekend.

Doesn't seem like we're being given much choice in the matter, though.

Daniel Hopkins was indeed right in last week's paper, when he told us all about how the suburbs were trying to poach on our music-scene cool. First there was this past weekend's Oysterfest at Lochrann's in Frisco, which drew admirable crowds to its 20-band, all-day affair. And then came the full lineup for late October's Festival at the Switchyard deal in Carrollton, which will feature the likes of the Old 97's, The Polyphonic Spree and Robert Earl Keen.

And now there's this: Today, the City of Grand Prairie announced the full bill for its October 8-10 Fall Indie Fest. And, turns out, there's some talent to be found on this sucker, too--the likes of Sarah Jaffe, Telegraph Canyon, The Reverend Horton Heat, Smile Smile, Spector 45, The Hope Trust, Hoyotoho, The King Bucks, Mount Righteous, Charlie Robison and others. Check the full lineup after the jump. It's obnoxious.
