Hey UNT Alums: Need An Excuse To Attend Homecoming This Weekend?
The University of North Texas might well have the worst football team in the state--and that’s including high schools.
Seems Coach Todd Dodge is having a bit of trouble repeating the success he had when he led Southlake Carroll to numerous state championships. Yet here it is, homecoming weekend (vs. those scary ruffians from Middle Tennessee) and lord knows how empty Fouts Field will be.
Well, if you’re going to witness the ugliness that is Mean Green football, you might as well have some music there to cheer you up afterward. Enter Denton’s own Exit 380.
The boys are still hyping their excellent recent release, Mr. And Mrs. Alexander Stone, a concept about a mythical couple in the 1930s.

The record is a lyrically heady affair, but the music moves along in a nice classic rock manner that always seems to translate well in a live setting.
Exit 380 will play the Boiler Room at 9 pm as part of the Concerts for Hope, a charity for cancer research. All in all, a good band and a good cause to help you forget about such bad football. --Darryl Smyers
