Old School KSOC-FM 94.5 has become my default radio station, which is how I've managed to memorize the ad for this show. With the passing of Don Cornelius a few weeks ago, this stellar old-school soul and funk line-up is Dallas' own memorial of sorts. The O'Jays ("Back Stabbers," "Love Train"), Chaka Khan ("I Feel For You"), Peabo Bryson, Jeffrey Osborne and Howard Hewitt (billed as the "Men of Soul"), the Mary Jane Girls ("In My House"), Sugarfoot's Ohio Players, Confunkshun and Stax legends the Bar-Kays all promise some bearskin rug-tugging, whoo-whoo-whooo extending jams for your Valentine's Day grind. Doors open at 6 p.m.
