New Year's Eve
New Year's Eve in Dallas, we've heard, "goes off." Here are a few suggestions to help you find your way. At Club Dada, Astronautalis, Gallery Cat, Hello Lover, the Mystery Skulls and everyone's favorite Hall & Oates cover band, the Rich Gurls, spice up your night. The Polyphonic Spree, Centro-matic and Deathray Davies make a solid contribution at House of Blues. Rubber Gloves and I Love Math Records host a killer lineup of Mind Spiders, Occult Detective Club, Leg Sweeper, Yeahdef and more. Texas Theatre's Hollywood Babylon party encourages you to dress as your favorite celebrity and features a performance from Yells at Eels, and the always entertaining Brave Combo polkas all over the Kessler Theater. At Zubar, New Orleans power couple Quintron & Miss Pussycat host a good ol' Southern dance party, and just down the street at the Granada, Jonathan Tyler & the Northern Lights collide with Ishi and Kirby Brown. Whew. And that's just a sampling. Check out our New Year's Eve Guide for more of the who, what, when and where. The why should be obvious.
