Can you have too much of a good thing? If the good thing is "fun," then for the most part, no. (Until someone puts an eye out or whatever.) In the case of Dallas music festival Spillover (formerly known as Bro Fest), avoiding going overboard has always been an important part of the magic: a one-day only music festival that brings in some of the best, uh, spillover indie rock acts on their way home from South by Southwest. But next year they're ratcheting things up a bit.

Early this afternoon, Parade of Flesh, the organizers of Spillover, announced the first wave of bands for the 2016 edition, as well as plans to expand the festival to two days. Being that it'll be the ninth year of Spillover, we'll call that steady growth, rather than excessive optimism. That means that rather than being a Sunday-only affair, it will take place on Saturday and Sunday, March 19 and 20.

Leading the list of bands are some familiar names to those who follow PoF chief John Iskander's booking. Technicolor New Yorkers Anamanaguchi, who headlined the PoF-curated Red Bull Sound Select Yearender at Trees in 2014, top the bill, alongside the Orwells, Shannon and the Clams, Into It. Over It and Oklahomans Broncho. The UK's Yuck will also be getting in on the fun.

Two-day passes for Spillover, which is set to take place at Trees and Club Dada, cost $40 and are already on sale over paradeofflesh.com. The full list of bands announced today:
