Hope you're not sick of St. Vincent yet. Seems, as we approach the September 13 release of her third LP, the John Congleton-produced Strange Mercy, the one-time Dallas resident born Annie Clark is only going to be more and more visible.
Already, she's been on the cover of Spin. Under the Radar, too. And last night, she appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman. You can watch a clip of that performance, courtesy of The Audio Perv, after the jump. In the clip, she performs live her new single, "Cruel."
But that's not the only St. Vincent performance making the rounds this week. Today, Spin posted a clip of Clark performing Strange Mercy's free download, "Surgeon" all by her lonesome, as well as a similarly arranged take on Tom Waits' "Tango Till They're Sore," which, despite having already heard her perform it, still rocks. Also, over on Consequence of Sound, you can watch Clark perform three as-yet-unreleased Strange Mercy tracks -- "Cheerleader," "Champagne Year" and "Year of the Tiger."
In other words: There's lots. And more coming, we're sure. All the more reason to get your tickets to her October 23 Kessler Theater gig before they sell out, no doubt.
