In the print edition of the Observer this week, I previewed Saturday's top notch bill of local acts at Double Wide who are playing to benefit the Fort Worth adoption agency The Gladney Center.
Well, Danny Balis, co-host of The Orphanage, the weekend radio show on 1310 KTCK-AM The Ticket, is hosting the event and he just sent a message informing me that the order is actually reversed than what had been previously announced. Shibboleth will not headline the show, as I'd thought--instead, they'll open the show. The Cut*Off will follow, then Slider Pines. Airline will hit the stage last.
In the printed preview, I kind of dogged Shibboleth a bit as being kind
of a lame headliner. Well.... Oops. Sorry about that. Airline, meanwhile, is a great band to top this bill.
Also, since we're on the subject of the show: There will be other
entertainment, musical and otherwise, inserted at various points in the
evening, so the running order for this worthy cause should be in flux
most of the night.
Whatever the order, this is as good of collection of local talent
assembled on one bill than I can remember. And I have a good memory!
