Your daily dose of national music news for Monday, January 5, 2009...
- A coroner found that Dr. Dre's son died of an overdose of heroin and morphine.
Brian WarnerMarilyn Manson wants Trent Reznor and ex-wife Dita Von Teese to testify on his behalf. Manson is being sued by his former drummer for allegedly cheating him out of $20 million dollars. Sure, all of that sounds very Manson-like. But he also bought the skeleton of a four-year-old Chinese girl? Really? Manson is all about shock, but, the bones of a girl? A bit too weird even for him.
- Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor is ready to release a solo album. If having a side band wasn't a sign of your main band's demise, then a solo record always is. --Lance Lester
