Today In Music News: Phil Spector's Found Guilty, Billy Bob Thornton Cancels His Tour and Bow Wow Retires
Your daily dose of national music news for Tuesday, April 14, 2009...
- In what should be a surprise to no one, Phil Spector was found guilty in his re-trial for the murder of Lana Clarkson. He could spend at least the next 18 years in prison.
- Billy Bob Thornton's band The Boxmasters has canceled the rest of its Canadian tour dates due to several members having "the flu." But, if we're being honest, it probably has more to do with the rain of boos the band has received since Thornton's terse interview on the Q Show. Watch the very awkward interview here--and skip ahead to the good stuff at around the seven-minute mark.
- Bow Wow has announced his retirement from rapping. If a tree falls in the forest... I'm assuming it has nothing to do with Angela Simmons.
