  • Oy vey! Q-Tip has signed on as the co-star in an independent movie about a young man from a Hasidic community who is caught importing and trafficking ecstasy into the States. Obviously, Tip won't be the Hasidic character; he'll actually play an Ethiopian drug dealer.
  • Robin Pecknold has been keeping busy while not recording and touring with Fleet Foxes. He's putting out music under the pseudonym White Antelope. You can stream his take on the traditional folk song "False Knight On The Road" at his Myspace page.
  • Not even music festivals are safe from the waning economy. Despite a strong line-up that included Death Cab For Cutie, The Pogues and Ryan Adams and The Cardinals, Miami, Florida's Langerado Festival has been canceled. Yeah, I've never heard of it either.
