This weekend was the weekend of extremes...

So, you're a metalhead? We've got videos for you! So, you dig on some of folk/accousitc?  We've got videos for you!

Everyone else, you're out of luck.

Cradle of Filth at House of Blues, Thursday, Feb. 19
Originally hailing from England, Cradle of Filth's music has been called death metal, black metal, symphonic metal, symphonic black metal, satanic metal, vampyric metal, extreme gothic metal and horror metal... whatever genre of metal you consider them to be, really. Just know they probably eat metal for breakfast.

Slipknot at Nokia Theatre, Sunday, Feb. 22
I've said about all I could possibly say about this show. Check out the review here!

Trivium at Nokia Theatre, Sunday, Feb. 22
As they say, there's no such thing as too much metal... Wait, does anyone say that?

Amanda Shires with Rob Picott at AllGood Cafe, Friday, Feb. 20
Bringing it down a notch are these laid back music makers, both based out of Nashville.

Matt Wertz at The House of Blues, Saturday, Feb. 21
Wertz has toured with Gavin Degraw, Jason Mraz and Matt Nathanson, but was in Dallas on Saturday headlining his own tour.

And there you have it, Dallas, another well-documented weekend in Dallas music!
