We've got a couple items regarding local music and cinema to share this afternoon. First, local country innovators Whiskey Folk Ramblers, a Dallas Observer favorite, will be featured in The Other Side Of Paradise. According to bassist Jack Daw Russell, the band was filmed for an important country-dancing bar scene and will have three songs on the soundtrack. It screens at the AFI Dallas Film Festival at 9:15 p.m. Sunday, March 29 at NorthPark and 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, at Landmark's Magnolia 4.

And in other movie/music news, Dallas Cinemania's Erich Scholz (a.k.a. Tomorrowpeople's Jody Powerchurch) has offered us two pairs of tickets to the Thursday screening of Invasion of the Bee Girls at The Angelika. The screening of the 1973 sci-fi sleazefest is at 8 p.m., but you can show up early for a set by DJ Wild in the Streets.

First two to e-mail me with the subject "They'll love the life out of your body" win a pair apiece.

Contest is over. Congrats to our winners.
