Vinnie Paul's got a new project. Bet ya, like, 10 bucks that it rocks. Hard.

To our dedicated blog-metal audience, we giveth unto you this: a new Vinnie Paul band. The Fort Worth Weekly hinted at it nearly two months ago, but Blabbermouth.net confirmed this week that the former Pantera and Damageplan drummer is now banging sticks with members of Mudvayne and Nothingface. At first glance, we can't help but be reminded of another metal "supergroup" assembled around a Pantera member, Phil Anselmo's Down; their sludgier take on Sabbath wasn't too shabby, really, so VP's chances are pretty good with this new as-yet-unnamed band. One site suggests the name "Pan Damage Mud Nothing"...we can't think of much better than that. --Sam Machkovech
