AFI Scenes: The Hurt Locker's Kathryn Bigelow Accepts the Latest AFI Dallas Star
Director Kathryn Bigelow accepts the AFI Dallas Star Award before last night's screening of her film The Hurt Locker.
Well, no, I didn't catch the Fashion Industry Gallery's nude modeling session and AFI after-party last night. Just got through kicking myself long enough to sit down and post this photo from earlier in the night. (There's probably a lesson to be learned about not leaving before the real party gets started.)
Still, we caught the above moment last night, before the screening of The Hurt Locker, as director Kathryn Bigelow accepted her AFI Dallas Star Award from the festival's artistic director, Michael Cain. Jeremy Renner, who stars in the film, and screenwriter Mark Boal joined her at the Magnolia.
Shots of the three of them, Robert Towne's Star Award acceptance, red carpets and other scenes from the film fest (UPDATE) are up now in this slideshow.
