My bad. Been meaning to get back in here and post something, anything, of note, and there's been plenty in recent days. And as Josh's Broken Groin notes, it's been way too long. So then, to today's Breaking, or Broken, Rangers News: The club has offered salary arbitration for next season to C.J. Wilson, already considered long-gone after the signing of closer Joe Nathan earlier this week, which heralds Neftali Feliz's move into the starting rotation. John Blake's full note follows, but keep in mind what this means:

With today's offer, the Rangers would be rewarded with the compensation of two additional draft picks in the 2012 MLB First Year Player Draft if Wilson were to decline the offer and sign with another major league club.
Who didn't get arbitration? Well, for that you'll have to jump.

RANGERS OFFER SALARY ARBITRATION TO LHP C.J. WILSON

Arlington, Texas - The Texas Rangers announced today that the club has offered salary arbitration for the 2012 season to left-handed pitcher C.J. Wilson, a Type A ranked free agent.

With today's offer, the Rangers would be rewarded with the compensation of two additional draft picks in the 2012 MLB First Year Player Draft if Wilson were to decline the offer and sign with another major league club.

As a result of the collective bargaining process completed on Tuesday, Texas did not have to offer arbitration to left-handed pitcher Darren Oliver, a Type A player who will be treated as a Type B player. If Oliver should sign with another team, the Rangers will automatically receive compensation.

Texas also did not offer salary arbitration to four other unranked free agents where no compensation applies: LHP Michael Gonzalez, RHP Brandon Webb, catcher Matt Treanor, and outfielder Endy Chavez. Treanor has signed a 2012 contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The deadline for clubs to offer arbitration to ranked free agents in order to be eligible for compensation is 11:00 p.m. CST tonight. Wilson has until 11:00 p.m. CST on Wednesday, December 7 to decide whether to accept or decline the Rangers' offer.

IAN KINSLER TO BE OFFICIAL STARTER AT THURSDAY'S DALLAS TURKEY TROT: Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler is scheduled to be the official starter for Thursday's Capital One Bank Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot. The annual event, which begins at 9:00 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning at Dallas City Hall, features 5K and 8 mile races and attracts thousands of participants each year.
