America Doesn't Have Talent. But Cas Haley Does.
A club-owning, music-playing Friend of Unfair Park e-mails this morning with a hot scoop: Local musician Cas Haley, from Dallas Observer Music Award-winning Woodbelly, killed 'em last night on NBC's America's Got Talent. And, sure enough, Haley proved that actually having talent will indeed impresses the judges -- especially Piers Morgan, the former newspaper editor who proclaimed Haley's acoustic rendition of the Police's "Walking on the Moon" better than Sting's.
