Crystal (Foot) Ball
I hereby predict your Dallas Cowboys will win this Sunday in Jacksonville, go 10-6 this season and return to the NFL Playoffs. More important, I foresee no better place to watch the Cowboys this season than at the old Granada Theater on Greenville Avenue. Starting Sunday at 2:30 p.m., the Granada will host weekly Dallas Harley-Davidson's Rockin' Cowboys and Chrome Watching Parties featuring three mega-movie screens, concert sound with 100 speakers and 16 subwoofers and drawings for Cowboys merchandise and tickets. And, best of all, entrance is free and your first drink is on the house. During the season faux celebs like CBS 11's Jody Dean, FOX 4's Mike Doocy and on-air voices from KTCK 1310 AM The Ticket will stop by, and this Sunday features a full menu of music-inspired lunch offerings from Flaming Lips Quesadillas to Polyphonic Pizza. After the game, win or lose, the vibe should really get hoppin' with alt-country star Carrie Rodriguez's CD Release Party and special guest Becca Dalrymple at 7:30 p.m. It's either that, or pay $6 a beer while boogying down with Jerry Jones at The Corral. Your choice. --Richie Whitt
